When we are young we dream of all kinds of futures; travel, being a doctor, an actress, a stripper, a pilot, taking over the world. They are big dreams and high expectations. We all swear not to be like our parents. However when you leave school life stabs you in the gut with a blunt knife, watches you drop to the floor and then proceeds to kick, with pointy shoes.
first you get a boring job and spend everything on weekends, a wardrobe apartment and noodles. Suddenly you fall in love and live in the moment, maybe even become pregnant and so you go into debt to beuild a dream home and continue with a steady crappy job to support your family.
Because of life we comprimise; play weekend sport instead of trying to go pro, watch doccumetries instead of travelling.
The harsh truth is we become our parents and don't necessarily regret it because in the end the decisions were the best.
