The artwork is a little off putting; exaggerated limbs, looks more like fashion drawing, and what's with the tiny heads?
The initial motivation isn't awe inspiring; Tatara follows (stalks) the girl he thinks he has something in common with and when he's bullied outside of the building she's entered he's rescued by a champion dancer who drags him in. Then he wants to learn to dance. Okay, the wanting to learn I get, sometimes you don't have anything but a desire to do it. Just that it seems flimsy.
Tatara (which I might be calling him the wrong name, give me another six episodes and I'll remember) is rather adorable. He works hard, practices until he's exhausted, and is rather talented.
I don't know what it is about it, but I'm excited to keep watching. Something is drawing me back in. Be it the over the top humour or the need to see Tatara succeed, I want to see it.
I just hope that it doesn't go the way that I think it's heading. Love triangles are so passé.
