The sight before her was nothing short of a Christmas miracle. Or that of a very bizarre criminal act. Before going to bed, Margret’s home had been bare of all decorations; no tinsel, baubles, nor a tree.
What was the point when she lived alone and there would be no presents under the branches of the tree come morning? And then it would all have to be taken down and packed away into storage again, it was just a little too depressing.
But now, close to midnight on Christmas Eve, she was witnessing something amazing in her lounge room. Candles illuminated the space intimately so her focus was solely on what the light touched.
Am I still asleep?
To prove it, she pinched her thigh through her sleep shorts.
Nope, it was definitely for real.
There was a Christmas tree in the middle of the room and it was being decorated… by two naked men wearing Santa hats.
She swallowed hard. Oh my. Her eyes dragged up and down each man, pausing at moments on certain parts.
A pink tinge to each cheek on one man’s backside, it glowed in the soft candle light. Smooth and round, wanting to be touched. The palms of her hands itched to cup each cheek… give them a squeeze… have them flex under her.
The other man stood tall and reached the branches of the tree Pink Cheeks couldn’t reach. Damn. The muscles in his back rippled with each movement like waves crashing onto the shore. It hypnotised her. Bending at the waist he picked up an ornament, rolled his spine up, raised his arm and slipped the piece onto a branch.
Rationally, she knew she should be screaming and calling the police; two naked strangers were decorating her house for the holiday. But they hadn’t noticed her yet.
Then she spotted the plate of cookies on the coffee table. As quiet as she could so as not to attract attention, she shuffled forward and picked one up. It was still warm. Taking a bite, sweetness exploded over her taste buds.
Forget cops, they can take whatever they like because of these cookies.
She fought the urge to sigh. And lost.
The men chuckled.
Pink Cheeks turned his head to the side so she saw him in profile. “Merry Christmas Margret.” He shot her a cheeky grin and a wink. “And a happy New Year.”
