Get the tea!
No, get the alcohol!
I’m going to be standing in front of a small group (the librarians have informed me that nine people have booked seats) and opening my mouth and hoping that I don’t go so nervous I rush through my speech or to the opposite where I go mute and just nod my head at what other people say.
Is there a pub nearby? There better be because I’m going to need… no, think positive damn it! Think like the conventions. I really enjoyed that; meeting new people, talking about my books, and eating chocolate croissants. The only time that I didn’t was when I allowed my mind to think that it was boring.
It’s going to be fine. There’ll be chocolate chip cookies.
And it happens to be a library. I’m definitely going to be fine. Love libraries. They are amazing places!
So, if you’re in Maitland and would like a cookie (bribing everyone with food) drop into the library (480 High Street) at 6pm this afternoon.
