Now that the book is here, I feel this fresh "I can do anything" attitude. A burst of energy. Something is happening, something new and exciting and a little life changing.
I remember this emotion from the start of my senior years at high school... then I crashed. Oh, I hated exams and a few other things about school (those who say those years were the best of their lives clearly have issues) and I lost that sense of wonder to the hum-drum of the repetitive school day and school politics (I was a rebel when wearing my polka dot gum boots to school when it rained). Though my senior years were the best of my schooling time, maybe because I had a license and could leave during my free periods and got along well with most of my teachers, hell my teachers actually knew my name (unlike a few others when I was a junior).
Anyway, I am officially an university student. No I am not doing a degree, I am only studying one unit and that's all I want for now. Very happy and excited.
