I like cooking. I think it’s a throw back to my inner fifties housewife gene. We all have one. We cook, clean and fuss over things in the home, you don’t need a husband for this, just someone to feed all of the home cooking.
Chocolate chip cookies are easy. When I was at school, particularly high school, I would sell the cookies mum made to my friends. To my knowledge my mother was the only one who would bake. I made a small fortune.
1 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
225g plain flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 tablespoon milk
250g chocolate chips (or more, use own judgement, 480g works well)
- Cream butter and sugar, add vanilla and egg.
- Add flour and baking powder. Add milk.
- Add chocolate.
- Flatten with a fork dipped in flour.
- Bake for fifteen minutes in a pre-heated oven of 175°C.
