For that reason alone, she is inspirational.
Add to the mix she survived an accident that nearly took her life and forced her to learn to do things all over again, and she has a killer sense of humour.
I would love to be as fearless as she is and share my views so openly. But, unlike Arbour, I don’t have the flair for doing that on tape. So I’ll stick to writing and editing out the shit that sounds too whiny.
In fact, after I watch one of her videos I do end up speaking like her a little and use her jokes on my family and friends (I absorb like a sponge the amazingness of others).
Arbour isn’t a v-logger. Yeah she does film her skits, but it’s different because that’s only one element of her communication with fans. She posts on social media. She goes on radio. She is an ex-cheerleader (which explains the prep). She does a lot of shit. The reason why she does a lot of shit online is because she reaches more people than she did doing stand-up on stage. So you can’t say she is a v-logger, not exactly. That and she has come out saying she isn’t one.
My first video of her’s was the Get Laid this Valentine’s Day. It was hilarious. It was truthful (I don’t know if it leads to anal but button up shirts do make girls feel very slutty, just roll up those sleeves and we become extra slutty). And it was different.
I’d never seen something like that before (maybe I’ve been sheltered for too long).
And it was coming from a blonde I didn’t want to punch in the face. Arbour is changing the face of blondes the world over.
She is supper supportive of people following their dreams, always encourages them to share with the tag #goteam and has a great attitude towards a lot of things that people use to stigmatise others. Drugs, sex, religion, guns, Arbour has shared her opinions on all of them and I can’t call her crazy for any of it because she approaches all with a rational and open mind.
Why can’t more people be open about sex? Who cares if you do it or if you’re getting paid to have your ass photographed? If it’s your body, you get to decide what to do with it.
In fact, I think if someone tried to put another person down, if Nicole Arbour was around she would probably step in and verbally tear that bully apart. That’s my theory. Whether or not that actually happens, is another thing.
Oh and she isn’t quiet about girls using their femineity to get shit. Hell, this woman encourages the use of your looks as long as you can back it up with brains and not be dependent on a sugar daddy.
Yep, this has been a love letter really. I love this entertainer. She is fun and smart and motivated. It’s probably a little creepy to admit that I went back several years on her facebook page and found that she really did start like the rest of us with only a small following. If she can stay motivated and build up from there, we all can.
Learning from this inspirational woman, even if I don’t agree with all that she says.
