Tess McGill (Melanie Griffith) is the blonde secretary overlooked and always being cracked onto, wanting to follow her dream to move up in her career. She begins to work for her new female boss Catharine (Sigonurney Weaver) and things start to look up, until Catharine steals Tess's idea. And so Tess breaks the rules and pretends to be her boss's associate while she's away and takes back control over the project. And then we meet Jack Trainor (Harrison Ford). The hotty. Well, he's a little attractive, to be honest Ford just doesn't do it for me.
Joan Cusack (I love her) and Alec Baldwin and his chest hair make adorable appearances in this film.
It is a good film, I'm just sad that it wasn't empowering for all women, that it instead pitted two strong females against each other and forced them to bow down to a male dominated industry.
Screw that! Stand up ladies and use your brains to get to the top, help out each other and become the role models for the next generation.
