Nicola has the 'Sex in the City' job (writing about sex for a magazine) but not the lifestyle (her hot fireman fiancé is very unadventurous in the sack, won't even let her stick her finger up his bum). Then she meets Jonny... then Jonny dies.
It's extremely short, good as a little filler, however I can't say I enjoyed much of it.
The characters are flat and two dimensional.
The twist is strange and not exciting.
The constant change of point of view (POV) throughout each and every scene had my Inner Editor leaping up and down, hands clenched into fists and face scrunched up as she screams "Don't have too many POV, change the scene if you are going to change the POV! This is messed up!"
If the author was trying to be witty and take the piss out of Sydney's society people, then it went entirely over my head. I regret reading this book, even if it was a brief fling.
