Yes, this is erotic. No, it isn’t cheesy or filled with “the devil’s doorbell” deed, in other words, it is a great read without the over the top action.
Sophie Morgan is an independent woman and journalist. She wasn’t abused when she was a child. She didn’t witness anything horrible. She just has a kink to her personality in which she enjoys being dominated in the bedroom and forced (with previous consent and a safety word in place) to do demeaning things. And I cannot list any of the stuff that happens, so let’s move on the technical side of things.
Morgan’s journalistic skills shine through. The story is straightforward and has no flowery prose about the pulsating member, she calls a penis a penis and puts it in *****. She cuts through to get to the real reason of the story, the heart; for her to discover her sexuality completely with someone she trusts and maybe even loves (who might be boyfriend material when he isn’t spanking her with a ridding crop). On the writing technical side, this separates her from all other erotic writers. It is an amazing read, to be read by those over the age of eighteen.
Story wise, again, wow! She doesn’t shy away from anything, writing every little detail no matter how she is portrayed. Making strong liberated statements (perhaps unintentionally) and making readers feel comfortable in not only their sex lives but their kink.
Forget all other steamy novels (which will remain nameless) and become spoilt with this one. Nothing else will ever satisfy again.
